Excludes1 note

In ICD-10-CM, an Excludes1 note indicates that the code above the note and the code listed in the note should never be used togetherIt signifies that the conditions are mutually exclusive, meaning they cannot occur simultaneously. This is a strict rule, and using both codes on the same claim line will likely result in a denial.
